On a whim, I decided to check out this show and I had no idea who any of them were....
Of course, Mellowdramatic Wallflowers has gone through some changes (Dang you, Jakob Dylan!!) and is now known as Admiral Twin.
Connection between the Time Trust and Infinite Crisis?

Yeah, I know... the german is execrable. It's been over 20 years since my classes and through disuse I was forced to make use of Babelfish. Maybe I'll clean it up for a reposting...
I made this pic using the Hetemeel site, which also has a cool dictionary set-up that I must make use of....

Freebirrrddddd!!!
I must be insane. After finally being on some new allergy meds for all of a week, I thought I was all better (thankee, Allegra D!). I am not. But I am on my way.
Luckily I was well enough to go out this past Friday evening with Mrs Sivana for a night on the town. We were just going to do dinner and catch Admiral Tiwn (finally!) @ Crow Creek Tavern, but an invite turned up earlier in the week for a art show by Neil Cluck and it also opened Friday. Being the patrons of the arts we are, we decided to add it to our itinerary for the evening.
Neil's show is being held @ , a fancy salon here in Tulsa and will be there through December, I believe. There were some hoity-toity types there drinking their wine and perrier, discussing nothing. All we could do was meander through the area, discussing between us what we liked about his work and which we liked best and then spoke with Neil for a bit. While I really like his centerpiece/sculpture entitled "Lighthouse", we have absolutely no-where to put it. Mrs Sivana fell for one of his "Iris" pieces and we did purchase it and thereby became Neil's first sale of the show. (Yay, us!) And I can confirm that French cuisine (other than pastry) sucks! My lord, but Perrier is abhorrant!! Rich folk are weird. I earlier found that I cannot stand brie (tastes the way moldy sweat-sox smell), but I rather like goat-cheese... Go figure.
After the show we had a bit to eat and made our way to Crow Creek Tavern. The bartenders were friendly, the patrons were varied and they had a food menu! Huzzah for next time. We'll be able to combine our chowin' and our boozin'.
AT played a number of sets. Mostly covers, unfortunately. I know they gotta give the people what they want (saayyyy.... that would be a great title for a song!), but I love their music and wanted to hear their songs. Ah, well. I understand their cover to original ratio is about 50/50 at Arnie's, so maybe next time.
A few further notes about the bar:
Be careful when sitting at the bar. You could get a papercut from the flying boxes of beer (empty).
They will set you up with a tab.
No Coke, Pepsi.
Modelo Negro on tap.
I must have screwed up my face when the bartender (Alan, I think) asked me if I was ready for another drink. "Hey", he said, "it's not like I'm trying to sell you a car". A couple beats later he asks "What would it take to get you into a gin and tonic?" and I muttered to my wife "A funnel", which she found hilarious. While it was funny, "funnel" was a fall-back. I was trying to come up with "shoe-horn" and went blank.
